Hycroft Manor Wedding: Catherine & Darb

October 12, 2017

Darb & Catherine’s first date may have been a bike ride, but it wasn’t until about 6 weeks of dating when you could tell these two REALLY liked each other! After spending the evening together,  Darb was out at his place in Vancouver and Catherine was back at her home with her parents in Maple Ridge (“in the middle of no-where” would be how Darb would describe it). Catherine wanted to see him again, but had no way of getting out to Darb’s place that late at night, so Darb decided to take a taxi to go pick her up. We found out at the wedding, that Darb had a reputation of being frugal smart with money, so this made the $200 cab ride a real statement of his love for his beautiful girlfriend!

These two and their families went ALL OUT for their wedding day and in this case, TWO wedding days!! We got to experience the BEST of both worlds. The first day, was an extravagant Indian Wedding and it was incredible to see Catherine’s family embrace Darb’s family & culture with open arms. Day 2 was AMAZING!!! It was a gorgeous, heartfelt wedding and the reception was one of the most fun we’ve been to. Check out some of the highlights of this beautiful day!

The make up & Hair team were unbelievable!  Rachael Smith  & Beauty by Mina did such a great job with the make up & we always love working with Chris Funk Hair!

Always and Forever Weddings became one of our favorite wedding coordinating teams this weekend! They did such a great job making sure everything ran smoothly!! Can’t wait to work with them again!Darb & Catherine didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, but they did want a chance to talk just before. Darb hid around the corner and reached out his hand. Catherine gently grabbed it and they had a chance to just tell each other how excited they were for the Ceremony time!! The bridesmaids and groom had walked down the aisle already and now it was time for the bride. Even though he tried several times, he had not seen his daughter that morning completely ready. He waited on the staircase and his little girl came walking toward him. As he put the veil over her head, he was overcome with emotion. It was an incredible moment before he walked Catherine down the aisle.Ummm Hello!! Look at this cake by Amazing Grace Sweets!!I think one of our favorite parts of this reception was all of the fun dancing entrances!! This group knows how to have FUN!!AND fireworks!!!
