Mexico Destination Wedding: Melissa and Craig

I met Craig & Melissa in Vancouver while I was photographing their good friends Aimée & Troy’s wedding, and I’d like to think we hit it off right away! They are just so stinking photogenic, and I happen to be a photographer 🙂 They asked me to photograph their dream wedding on the beaches of Cancun at the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa, and little did they know that this resort is my FAVORITE!

I had such an amazing time with them and their friends throughout the week, they really made me feel like a part of the family! I even got to be a 5th wheel to some of their dinners! ha!

I’m pretty sure she even surprised herself with how beautiful she looked! So fun!

Craig’s coping mechanism to not cry seemed to be to grin ear to ear and laugh and tell her how beautiful she is over and over…I think she’ll take it 🙂

Craig’s best man, Malcolm, flew all the way from New Zealand for his buddy’s big day. They hadn’t seen each other in 6 years either!

These two are just so much fun!

Melissa’s Dad has passed away, but his presence was strong on this day!

I loved how this wasn’t planned, but right before they kissed, Craig leaned in and said “I’m gonna dip you!”

You can never go wrong with a Mariachi band! These guys were hilarious!

The party got started on the dance floor, and then the rain come RUSHING in and we had to move the party to the nearby Cabanas! It was still a blast!
