Disneyland is kind of an addiction! Once you go, you feel like you need to go back (a lot). We have a tradition of going a reasonable every 2 years with our good friends and we have the best time! This is not a relaxing, lay by the beach holiday, it is a strategic, fun, fast-pass, feel like you feet are going to fall off holiday!
We had a group of 18 of us that went together and we added The Craigs (+5) who we ran into half way through the trip! Surprisingly, we stuck together most of the time. Everyone brings something to the group…we had young, fast teenage boys to get fast passes and really young children that we could use to get parent passes and bypass line ups!
This was our first time going to Disneyland at Christmas and it did not disappoint! Disney goes all the way with everything they do.
Here are some of our highlights…
The moment when you walk down Main Street for the first part of your trip and you hear the music! Ah the joy!!
Our family loves meeting all the characters! The kids filled up their autograph books!
Yes! We are those people that take photos of the disney ride photos! Raise your hand if you do this!?
Can you find Matt? Oh brother!
We even ran into a few photographer friends…
All the kids!! People must love seeing us walk into a restuarant!
These 2 boys were glued to each other all week!
Seems like our kids got the “performance” genes from their dad! Kaitlyn has to show off her self-taught gymnastics whether it is in the middle of the grocery store or the middle of Main Street waiting for the parade and Gracie pretended she was one of the princesses in the parade giving high-fives to the crowd!
Since we went to Disney in December, we thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate Gracie’s Birthday, so we took the girls to Ariel’s Grotto for a lovely breakfast and we were able to meet a few special princesses!
When you only have one adult, you use one of the kids to help with the video recording…
One of the things I was most excited about was that we were in Disneyland during the Candle light service!! Getting to see an enormous choir made up of 8 different groups, a full orchestra, trumpets performing traditional Christmas carols was incredible. Geena Davis was the celebrity narrator and told the full Christmas Story to a very crowded Main Street! I was glad I got to sneak away for this!
Some of the days, we would go back to the hotel to re-fresh half way through the day.
The light parade & fireworks were AH-MAZING!!
Our little Anna & Elsa..
What a great way to kick off our Christmas season!! I even snuck a few kisses in with this guy in some of the rides!
Until next time Disneyland….
