It was a Happy Easter!!

April 23, 2014

We had a wonderful Easter weekend!

That week leading up to the weekend was a bit over-scheduled for us and by the time Good Friday came around, we were exhausted! We had a great day lazing around the house and taking it easy. Fridays are typically our scheduled “day off” as we are normally working on weekends! It has been hard for us to take an actual full day off, but it has been so worth it! As a family, we read the little kids Bible about what actually happened on Good Friday. We are so thankful what Jesus did for you and me on the cross!

Because we had an early wedding on Saturday, my parents graciously offered to take our kids Friday night to Sunday morning! So we went for a nice dinner out on Friday night! It is such a relaxing thing to not eat dinner with kids. Gracie seems to always have to touch me and take my food when eating!

The next morning was wedding day! We had an amazing time with Alvin & Lynda as they celebrated becoming man and wife! They sure know how to plan a wedding!! The wedding was held at the Stanley Theatre!! What a cool venue! Stay tuned for a blog post in the next week of their gorgeous wedding!

Sunday was celebration time! We got up nice and early to start preparing the music for the Sunday morning. We had a great time at church – special music, then the kids came up and sang (I always cry), a great message, followed by an Eggnormous Easter Egg Hunt! Here’s a little clip of Gracie’s first time singing with all the kids!

As soon as we got home, the weekend caught up to us and our legs felt like mush! It turned into pajama and movie day! The Incredibles had just started their opening credits and I was asleep 🙂

Monday evening we got to celebrate Easter with our family! There were 13 kids and 15 adults – lots of fun for one house!

What did you do to celebrate your Easter weekend??
