Durali Villa Wedding – Steve & Laura

We had the best time celebrating with Steve & Laura in Vernon, BC.  Matt was already warmed up to half of the family as he shot Laura’s sister’s wedding in Cancun a few years ago! Steve & Laura’s beautiful wedding weekend was held at Durali Villa in Vernon. What a perfect place for a wedding!! The wedding party and family stayed in the beautiful large home all together for the weekend so it really had a destination wedding feel.

The day started out as pouring rain, but an hour before we were going to do the first look, the blue sky and sunshine broke through. Love when that happens!!

On the big day, the guys and girls got ready separately in the huge home. Laura could not get through her card from Steven without tears….lots of tears and Steven wasn’t any different when he read his. It was so sweet and emotional to watch.

The tears continued to the first look where Steve was overwhelmed with seeing his gorgeous bride!

The reception was filled with a lot of laughs and a few more happy tears! We loved hearing all of their speeches and the stories of how Steve & Laura grew up! A lot of these beautiful reception details were hand crafted by Laura! I love how in her speech she thanked her mom for going to Michaels every weekend so they could use 2 coupons instead of one! Laura should plan weddings more often!

This gorgeous wedding cake was created by non other than the bride herself the night before! Doesn’t it look beautiful!!

This doesn’t happen very often, but Matt sang “Wanted” for Steve & Laura’s first dance! Isn’t he handsome?
