Brett & Brittany had crossed paths a few times at cross country races throughout the years, but didn’t really think much of it. Things ALMOST started to happen at the Summer Games Dance…. Brett had eyes on Brittany and although Brittany tried to make it obvious she would be interested in dancing with him, Brett was too nervous and asked someone else instead. Although they both lived in Maple Ridge for years, they officially met in California at a track and field trip just over 10 years ago. Matt actually taught them back when he was a high-school teacher. One of Brett’s favorite classes was learning how to build guitars from Matt (Or Mr. Kennedy I should say).
Over the 10 years, these two have not stopped living for adventure. These two encourage each other and push each other to do their best whether it is in competitive bike races or working tirelessly toward becoming a doctor!
Brett & Brittany wanted the day to be a celebration and they just wanted to spend time with all of the people they loved! Check out some of our favorite moments…
The ceremony was held at St. Marks Parish UBC. Brittany walked to the main doors and Brett took in every moment.
Ok this was a first…. Brett & Brittany found this INCREDIBLE spot for photos and they mentioned it was a little bit of a walk to get down to the beach (says the girl who goes for a run on her wedding day). We quickly realized that these two are amazing athletes and so of course they didn’t even break a sweat walking up and down the 500 flights of stairs. However, the hike was worth it, we arrived at this gorgeous picturesque beach……full of naked people! It truly was a gorgeous location, but what we quickly discovered was that it was a nude beach. It made for the most entertaining photo experience and the photos turned out amazing!
Ooo la la Our Little Flower Company did such a great job with the bouquets and floral arrangements! We were thrilled to be back at Cecil Green Park House. This venue is one of our top picks!!
Brett & Brittany ensured that their cocktail hour was the best ever! Everyone had a blast playing badminton, bocci ball and mean game of croquet!
Candice and her team at A Day to Remember is AMAZING!! They did a fantastic job making sure everything looked stunning and ran smoothly.
Brittany’s dad passed away just a few months before her wedding, but he was very much a part of this amazing day. Brittany found the start of her dad’s speech on his computer and during the time he was supposed to give his speech at the reception, she came up and reflected on what she thought her dad would be saying right then! It was a beautiful moment!Ginette at Thomas Haas did a stunning job with this all white cake!
