The UNITED Conference in Santa Barbara, California reminds us of youth summer camp, but for photographers! We love it and it is one of our highlights of the year!! An amazing community of photographers that feel like they are all best friends (thank you facebook) coming together once a year to hang out together, be inspired and hear from incredible speakers to learn very practical tools to help grow our business! Even though the amount of people doubled this year, United still has a very personal, community-based atmosphere!
The first official day of the conference, I spoke on the Mom’s Panel with some amazing ladies. We got to share our experiences of growing a business, while being a full-time mom! We had an amazing lunch out on patio at the Fess Parker! Yummy!! Not everyday you get to enjoy a high-class outdoor lunch with good friends. That evening we dressed up for a fancy reception banquet followed by Five Minute Fuel. The last Five Minute act included a hilarious rendition of End of the Road by the Backstreet Boys! I was impressed with how well Matt remembered it!
On Tuesday night, Matt and an amazing team of musicians put on a entertaining, fun concert!

On Wednesday morning, Matt luckily still had his voice for his session – “Market Like It’s Hot”. He did a really great job! You can see his gift of teaching and entertaining shine.
Our favorite part is catching up with good friends!! Hopefully it isn’t another year until we see everyone!
Thank you Lukas Vandyke, Christy Lyle, Kristina Robinson and anyone else who took photos, so we didn’t have to 🙂
Love that “Katelyn’s Missing an arm” shot! 🙂 And we loved our time with you two!!!! We may just have to visit this year! 🙂
I enjoyed the fellowship and new faces and Matt/Trevor rocking 5min Fuel.
