What an amazing trip we had as a family!! We had a wedding to go to in beautiful Maui and we decided that it was the perfect time for a family trip!! A big thank you to Paul & Jodie for inviting our family to celebrate with their family! Working from home can be amazing, but the problem is that we enjoy what we do and have an ongoing checklist and it is not easy to shut ourselves off from work to spend quality time with our kids all the the time, so getting away from normal life is what we need occasionally! We definitely made some amazing memories and felt refreshed coming back!
Airport fun!
Time for the Marriott Luau! Seeing the real hula dancers was Gracie’s favorite part of the trip!
Gracie got to dance on stage for some quick hula lessons!
The lava fields!
Our early morning walk to find the turtles.
This is my favorite place to be on a holiday or at home – on the deck with a great drink and my Bible!
Shaved Ice was our favorite treat!
We took a special trip to Molokini to see the turtles, but unfortunately the ocean was way too rough, so we went to another cool spot to see all the beautiful fish! Gracie lasted a good 15 seconds for her snorkeling adventure!
Shopping at Lahaina was a lot of fun! It was a great way to end our trip!
The kids loved the Banyan Tree!! It was pretty impressive!!
After touring Lahaina, we headed over the the resorts to play on their beaches and do some more snorkeling. It was kind of addicting to go snorkeling in Maui. The fish were SO colorful!! We saw something new every time! It made us really appreciate God’s design for the different places around the world! The fish where we live are beautiful too, but so different!
Finally, it was time to head home!! We took the red-eye and the kids all fell asleep before we took off and we had to carry them off the plane!
We are so thankful that we got to explore Maui together and we’re super excited about some amazing trips we have planned this year for work and for pleasure!!
