What a dream it was to be part of John & Julia’s wedding in Washington, DC!! This wedding was beyond gorgeous! Even though, this couple lived on the other side of the continent from us, we were able to meet them at their good friends Nick & Shruti’s wedding in December and that just made us more excited to be with them for their wedding in DC.
John got ready with his dad and groomsmen at his apartment, while Julia and the ladies got ready just a few blocks away at the Marriott! A big thank you to Youtube for being a great resource to grooms across the world for helping them learn to tie up a real bowtie! Julia’s incredible dress was from Carine’s Bridal Atelier. Carine had seen us at another wedding earlier that year and she was actually the one that recommended us to John & Julia!
It was finally time for John & Julia to see each other for the first time. They were both filled with emotion as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day in the same spot that John knelt on one knee to propose to his bride the year before at the DC War Memorial. What made it even more special was that they tearfully read their personalized vows to each other!
Their immediate family and wedding party traveled along with us to some amazing picturesque spots all around DC. It was perfect for Matt & I being tourists as we got to see all the highlights at the same time as doing wedding photos! Think the bridesmaid dresses were my favorite ever – loved the bling!
With Julia and half of the wedding party being lawyers, it was only suiting to get some photos in front of the Supreme Court!
The Carnegie Library was an amazing venue for John & Julia’s ceremony. Rebecca and her team with Rex & Regina Events did such a great job creating this elegant space.
A grand sparkler exit was the perfect way to end the perfect day!! Congratulations John & Julia!!! We are so excited to watch your marriage and love for each other grow stronger!!
