Jeff and Tasha didn’t just have one day to celebrate their marriage, they had four! It is neat to see that with every Indian wedding that we photograph, they all have a lot of general similarities, but they also have their own unique traditions and ceremonies. After celebrating for 2 nights, it was time for the big day! Tasha woke up at 2:30am to start getting ready!! I’m very thankful that was not our start time 🙂 Tasha looked incredible! The amount of bead work and jewels that went into her attire was truly stunning. Jeff looked pretty good himself.
After everyone was ready, we headed to Brookside Temple for the beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony, we headed to VanDusen Gardens for some portraits of the newly married couple!
The day didn’t end there. Next, we went back to Tasha’s parent’s home where they did the ceremonial good-bye to their daughter! This is such a touching part of the day. The first part is quite fun to watch. Jeff had to buy his way into the home to get his wife. They stood there for several minutes working out a deal with her family. They then bring her things to Jeff’s family’s home where they welcome her.
Later we will post the amazing reception – with a different gorgeous gown and a whole lot of dancing and fun!!
