Heronsbridge Wedding: Brooke and Andrew

We just dropped off the kids to their first day of school, which means routine, pumpkin spice everything and a fresh start! What better way to start it off then by showing off a wedding of our dear friends Andrew & Brooke!!

We have known Andrew and the Ellingson family through church and music for many many years and so this was really an honor to be part of this day. Alex Connor, another good friend of ours from church, met Brooke at school and she decided that Brooke & Andrew would be a good match, so one day Alex brought Brooke with her to hang out with a bunch of people at Andrew’s house. Alex brilliantly contrived to conveniently leave Brooke’s sweater there so she would have to go back and get it sometime! Bada Bing Bada boom, they started talking and they’ve been together ever since! Brooke is one of the most beautiful people on the inside and out. Not only is she obviously gorgeous, but her love for people and little kids makes her shine. She is also very punctual and organized, which made for the most beautiful and on time wedding!

Matt arrived at the girls getting ready at the carriage house of Heronsbridge! OH my! Oh my!! This hidden gem was one of our favorite venues ever!!

While Matt was with the girls, I arrived to mini golf and some competitive games of pool! It was an absolute blast hanging out with these guys and we even left for the ceremony early.

Megan D’Onofrio was their Day of Coordinator and she did an outstanding job putting everything together.

Brooke and her dad made the long walk along the path to get to the aisle and when Andrew looked up and saw her he lost it! It was beautiful and emotional moment to see these two join their families together and say “I Do” forever!My cousin, David Buzza, did such an amazing job of the ceremony!

Oh yeah!! Look at this wedding party!! During the week leading up to their wedding, Vancouver and the Lower Mainland was covered with smoke from the forest fires a few hours away. You couldn’t see the mountain or anything, BUT the sky turned blue and the smoke cleared just in time for Andrew & Brooke’s big day!!
I love the marriage blessing that Brent (Andrew’s dad) read to them:

“May your marriage always bring glory to God, joy to one another and blessings to your family for many generations to come.

May love and laughter fill your hearts and your home for all of the days of your lives.

May you face every challenge hand-in-hand and side-by-side knowing that with God’s grace, you’ll conquer all obstacles together.

Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, the reception was filled with hilarious, yet meaningful speeches, some of the best wedding food we’ve ever had (thanks to CBC Catering), and great dancing!!
