Grouse Mountain Wedding: Tyler & Sarah

What a huge honor it was for us to shoot Tyler & Sarah’s wedding! Tyler is a great Vancouver photographer so it was an extra special day for us. Tyler & Sarah met through friends. Sarah’s friend thought they’d be a good match and in Tyler’s words: “Although everything turned out perfect, Sarah definitely played hard to get!”

The weather that day started out very gloomy and it was supposed to rain most of the day, which wasn’t great for the outdoor ceremony planned, but the weather transformed and the day was gorgeous! After getting ready, the couple met at baseball diamond where Tyler has played and coached all his life! It was the perfect place to do their first look! Tyler : “Baseball has been such a big part of both our lives growing up and as a couple. In 2009, Sarah took time off work to fly to Taylor, Michigan to watch me coach in the Junior League World Series… to watch and support me! So happy. And even now, we still coach and play, so to be able to include that in our day was awesome.” It was fun to watch how excited and emotional Tyler was to see his gorgeous bride!

We had a very important stop to make on the way and that was to visit Sarah’s Grandma that wasn’t able to make it to the wedding. Her Grandma is such an important part of her life, so it was such a sweet moment! Her Grandma even color coordinated with the wedding colors!

The ceremony and reception were held up at the beautiful Grouse Mountain. The fog broke during their ceremony and the sun was shining on Tyler & Sarah as they finished their I do’s.

Tyler: “Sarah was really looking forward to seeing everything come together. She spent a huge amount of time making sure things were organized, doing diy projects like our signs, and going over things with the decorator. Sarah was really excited to see her plan come together and share that with all of our guests. And marrying me she says. Hahahaha”

Grouse Mountain did a great job hosting this group and even were able to provide a delicious Gluten-Free meal for everyone! Not sure anyone noticed as the food was so good!
