Bridges Restaurant Wedding: Shalyn & Joe

We cannot get enough of Joe & Shalyn’s gorgeous Granville Island wedding!! The weather, the bright colours, the decor and especially their joyful, fun personalities made this day just perfect!! Shalyn used to live in Vancouver and Joe used to live in New Zealand and now together they live in London, England!! What a beautiful occasion to join their family and friends together from all over the world!

Shalyn and Joe got ready in separate rooms with their closest friends. Everything was so relaxed!

Shalyn’s bouquet was STUNNING!!! We loved the gorgeous bright colours! Garden Party Flowers did an amazing job!

Joe was waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle toward him, but Shalyn surprised him making her grand entrance by boat! While she made the walk to the groom, Aiden Fowler, member of the White Spot Pipe Band  played the bagpipes! It was beautiful!

One tip we have for couples is to find a few moments to be alone together on your wedding day! The day is full of excitement and celebrating, but in the end it is about the two of you! We loved that Joe & Shalyn took a little boat ride together right after the ceremony for a few minutes alone to take in the moment!

Bridges Restaurant was an AH-MAZING intimate venue! The view overlooking the water and city was breath-taking and the sunset just perfectly as the night went on!  We really enjoyed their wedding coordinator and staff as well! 

There was a travel theme beautifully highlighted throughout the reception. We loved the paper-airplane seating cards!!

There was even a tribute to Shalyn’s Native American heritage!
